A brief list of two upcoming KTM bikes for India

Summary – A list of two soon-to-be-launched KTM bikes for India

KTM is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer that has been selling bikes in India since 2012. The brand has a huge market share in India. This is one of the many reasons why, KTM has quite a few motorcycles in the works. The following are some of the highly-anticipated motorcycle launches from KTM.

KTM 790 Adventure

The expected price for the KTM 790 Adventure could be starting from INR. 11.50 Lakh. It is expected that KTM would launch the bike in June 2023.

Unlike current KTM all models, the 790 Adventure will be targeting buyers of premium bikes. The engine powering the bike will be the same unit one can find in the internationally available Duke 790. However, the 799cc parallel-twin motor will be tuned to offer better low-end torque. The reason is simple, the bike will mostly be conquering off-road trails and abundant low-RPM torque is a necessity. Please note that engine specifications are currently unavailable for this bike.

KTM RC 890

KTM has also hinted that it will bring the RC 890 to India. The motorcycle is expected to come with a price tag of INR 11.00 Lakh (ex-showroom). As per sources in the automotive journalism sector, it is expected the bike would be launched in October 2023.

The overall dimensions of the Duke bike will draw inspiration from the internationally available 890 Duke. Several spy shots available on the internet reveal that the bike will entail a tubular steel frame. The rear swingarm will be made of cast aluminium. The bike will also come equipped with the latest generation of WP front and rear suspensions.

The brake callipers will be supplied by Brembo. The engine powering the bike would be the 889cc LC8c parallel-twin unit. Please note that this motorcycle could be a track-only machine. Confirmation of this piece of information is yet to be supplied by KTM India officials.
