Here’s a Brief Account of KTM’s Best-selling Compact Sports Bikes The RC 200 And The RC 390



KTM, the Austrian bike brand’s best-selling compact sports bikes in India are the RC 200 and 390. Read on to learn more about them.

RC 200

KTM RC 200 is positioned above RC 125. It is also a compact sports bike. The KTM RC 200 price is Rs. 2, 48,096 for the base trim. The top trim of the bike costs Rs. 2, 54,668. Both prices are ex-showroom.

The latest iteration of the bike looks more mature and bigger than its predecessor model. The bike gets an LED headlamp unit and an LCD centre console. The front turn indicators are mounted on the front fairing. The fuel tank on the bike can now hold 13.7 litres of petrol. The engine on the bike is the same 199.5cc BS6-compliant unit. The peak power and torque outputs of the engine are 24.6 bhp and 19.2 Nm respectively. 

The bike is built using a split-type Trellis frame paired with a bolted-on sub-frame. The bike gets dual disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. WP Apex monoshock USD front fork suspension and fully adjustable handlebar risers are part of the package as well.

RC 390

KTM RC 390 is the most powerful compact sports bike from KTM available in India. The ex-showroom KTM RC 390 price is Rs. 3, 69,495 for the base trim. The top trim of the bike costs Rs. 3, 76,535.

The engine is a BS6-compliant, 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC (Dual OverHead Camshaft) engine. The dual camshafts control four valves. The engine is also paired with an electronic fuel injection system. The air intake on the bike is now larger compared to the older models. The peak power and torque outputs of the engine are 42.9 BHP and 37 Nm respectively.
